Plants and growing

We have started one of our topics this half term - plants! The children have always been interested in our greenhouse, growing and planting so I feel they are really going to enjoy this one! We were lucky to have one busy bee bring in some chitting potatoes so we all got busy planting them in the garden. We have started to talk about what key things plants need to grow and began our 'bean diaries'. We will be measuring, recording, drawing and labelling the growth of our beans over the next few weeks and conducting some investigations.

We are also excited for Jyp from 'The Farm' for L'Enclume to come and have an afternoon with us to increase our knowledge of all things growing and plants and start growing some yummy vegetables we can use to cook with!
