Masterchef champion visits school!

We had an incredibly special visitor in school today – Masterchef 2019 champion Irini Tzortzoglou!

As well as bringing her trophy to show the children, Irini gave a very inspirational recount of her journey towards being crowned this year’s champion. She spoke of taking pride in what you do and that winning is not everything; the satisfaction from trying your best is more important.

Following the whole school assembly, children in Class 2 and 3 grilled Irini on her Masterchef experience and she revealed what it was like working under pressure, learning from her mistakes and making new friends. She also encouraged the children to pursue their passions and particularly encouraged the girls to have confidence in all that they do.
