Headteacher Update 27th June 2019
Date: 27th Jun 2019 @ 9:20am
We had a very uplifting and inspiring day on Monday when author Jason Beresford visited school. His two whole school presentations, with workshops for each class, were high energy, physical comedy experiences which children and staff enjoyed immensely. More information on the school blog page.
The year 6 children seemed to really enjoy their transition day to secondary, making new friends, finding out their form groups and tutors. Likewise, the children in school 'rolled up' for the day to their new classes for September. Our new Reception children were also in school and seemed very 'at home' remarkably quickly.
The Cluster KS2 Athletics was a great event at Cartmel Priory School yesterday. All the children were impeccably behaved and participated with sportsmanship and energy. Well done to everyone for coming 3rd - a super achievement! Thank you also to the staff for working hard with the children prior to the event to prepare them for it.
As I write, the traffic is hotting up for Race Day tomorrow! I do hope you enjoy the day off school. The staff team will be having an Inset training day - off-site!!!
Wishing you a lovely and sunny weekend,
Mrs Battersby
