Headteacher Update 19th December 2018
Date: 19th Dec 2018 @ 12:14pm
I do hope you enjoyed the experience of the Nativity in The Priory last week. It was a very special evening and a wondeful space in which to perform. Now we have used it once, I fully understand the benefits and limitations and look forward to thinking how we can use it in a different way again next year! It's great to keep things fluid and evolving and adds to the excitement and challenge, keeping the interest up!
We welcomed Tim Farron to school on Thursday to present a certificate to the winner of his Christmas card competition this year, Zara. Her card will be sent to the Queen! Mr Farron complimented school on the entries, noting that 4 out of the 10 finalists were from our school. This is no small achievement, considering he received over 1000 entries. He said that ours was the best school! Fantastic! All the children who entered received certificates.
This week has seen Christmas parties and storytelling by Reverend Nick. We have our Christmas Lunch tomorrow before finishing for the festive season on Friday.
May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year for 2019.
Best wishes,
Mrs Battersby
