Headteacher Friday Update 9th July 2021

Date: 8th Jul 2021 @ 2:20pm

The whole school once again enjoyed their trip to Forest Schools this week.  These little adventures seem to have proven very popular this term and we would love to continue this outdoor education going forwards.  The skills and learning which takes place is just great and the children are engaged and active in their learning.  Thanks to all the staff who have worked so hard to make these trips possible and so much fun for the children.

Once again, a reminder to remain vigilant for COVID symptoms and to ensure that you keep your child off school and get them PCR tested immediately if they show any.  Whilst the talk is of relaxation, numbers of cases continue to increase and we need your help to all stay safe in this final part of the term.

We've enjoyed a great Sports Day this morning, albeit without the on-site support of parents.  The children participated in a number of games, activities and competitions and great fun was had by all.

A copy of your child's report will be coming home today, so please look out for this in their book packets.

Please see the additional message from Mrs Wilson below.

With best wishes,

Mrs Battersby

Dear parents/carers and children.

I would like to say a huge thank you for the leaving gift you generously gave me and the amazing cards made by the children.
I will miss working at the school very much and I will miss seeing the children's happy smiling faces but if is time to move on to the next chapter in my life. Still to be decided!!
Wishing you all the best for the future.
Mrs Wilson
