Headteacher Friday Update 31st January 2020
Date: 31st Jan 2020 @ 11:43am
Our gymnasts performed admirably on Wednesday at the cluster competition, gaining second place and sending us through to the next round - congratulations everyone! My grateful thanks also to Mr Dunstan for all his training!
We have been pleased to welcome Mr Duesbury back to school, our guitar teacher, following a period of illness.
Dance lessons with Miss Jayne continue and the children seem to be very much enjoying the experience. I couldn't resist having a go with the red bowler hats with class 2 during their lesson this week and wished I could have stayed for longer it was so much fun!
Now we are heading towards Spring, we want to freshen up our outdoor areas. We've had a number of additions to resources outside and there is ground work, painting and general mainentance which needs doing. We want to ensure these areas are bright and attractive for our children to play in. As such, we are organising a 'Groundforce Day', much like the one we did a few years ago, on Sunday 15th March from 9 - 12. Staff and Governors will be giving of their time and I would love as many adults to join us from the school community as possible. We need greenfingers, odd-jobers and other willing participants to lend a hand in whatever way they can. If you feel you would be able to contribute, please let the office know asap. It is all to make improvments to our lovely school and your help would be very much appreciated. Unfortunately, no children will be permitted on site during this time for health and safety reasons.
Have a super weekend,
Mrs Battersby
