Headteacher Friday Update 29th March 2019
Date: 29th Mar 2019 @ 9:58am
Another busy week to complete the term. Thank you to all those who attended the school meals taster session on Tuesday. It was well attended by children and parents and the feedback was superb! I am really looking forward to the meals following the holiday and I am sure, from speaking to them, that the children are also.
Class 3 enjoyed a visit to the woods this week and made some superb 'houses for sale'. They were also rehearsing their Estate Agent skills on me when I visited! Some very persuasive sales people!
Class 1 walked around the village yesterday and investigated different landmarks. They were impeccably behaved and a credit to our school - well done Class 1!
Class 2 have completed their amazing 'tax collector' boxes. They have worked so hard on the design, planning, measuring, making and evaluating of these. A tricky project but one encompassing lots of different skills - fabulous work!
Thank you to those parents who have completed my 'Instrumental Tuition' survey. I was trialling this way of gathering thoughts and it seems to have worked, so will be a useful tool for the future. There is still time to complete it, should you wish.
Please do enjoy making the Easter Gardens with your child over the holiday and return them into school during the first week back. We will then get them into the Priory for our Easter Service at 1:45pm in The Priory on Thursday 18th April.
I hope you all have some wonderful family time together over the next couple of weeks. We return on Monday 15th Apil until the Thursday, then have Good Friday and Easter Monday off school. Another long weekend!
With very best wishes,
Mrs Battersby
