Headteacher Friday Update 21st June 2019
Date: 21st Jun 2019 @ 11:04am
Another very busy week in the Cartmel calendar! The sun came out for our Sports Day on Monday and the event was very well attended by parents, carers and extended family members. It was super to see so many people cheering the children on. The children seemed to enjoy the mixture of activities and competitive races and worked hard for their school team. It was certainly an opportunity for all the children to participate, have fun and work together and shine. The Year 6 race left everyone laughing at the icing sugar faces - always a highlight of the games!
With Cluster Kwik Cricket, cricket and multi skills lessons and clubs in school, swimming lessons at Ulverston, Grange Lions Football Tournament and athletics practice, it really has been a sporting week. As I write we are also awaiting the imminent arrival of our Team GB athlete, Kimberley Renicks, who will be with us this afternoon to inspire the children. So, it definitely has been a focus on Sport for us here at Cartmel.
With best wishes for a sunny weekend! (Fingers crossed...)
