Headteacher Friday Update 18th March 2022
Date: 18th Mar 2022 @ 1:33pm
Another interesting week at Cartmel, with high levels of staff absence and children also continuing to be off. My very grateful thanks to our fantastic staff team for pulling together once more in the face of adversity to ensure our children are well cared and provided for. We’ve also been covering lunches, serving food, manning the playground and loading dishwashers alongside all our other usual duties! We’ve even had Governors and volunteers helping out to ensure we can continue to operate as smoothly as possible over the lunchtime period – thanks to them!
Please also note that from next week, the office will be unmanned each afternoon. Mrs Haynes will be doing some remote working in these final couple of weeks prior to her maternity leave. We will endeavor to check the answer machine during the afternoon for any messages left but do please be aware that emails may not be responded to the same day if sent to the admin email address. Thank you for your understanding on this.
Our trip to the Wordsworth Trust is planned for Monday. We are hoping that all will be well and we will have a full staff compliment to enable the trip to run. Please assume that it is, unless you hear otherwise on Monday from us! We’re keeping everything crossed for a good and healthy weekend!
Next week promises to once again be action packed with the trip on Monday, visitors from the Worsdsworth Trust visiting classes 1 and 2 on Tuesday and the Bunny Bounce on Wednesday, not to mention Shakespeare activities towards the end of the week.
Rest up everyone, I get the feeling we’ll need all our energy!
Best wishes,
Mrs Battersby
