Headteacher Friday Update 17th September 2021

Date: 17th Sep 2021 @ 12:02pm

This week has been a musical week, with rehearsals for Harvest singing starting!  We are hoping to be able to facilitate a short worship in The Priory and I am due to meet Reverend Nick next week to discuss this.

I’m delighted that a number of children have started violin lessons with Mrs Hurley this week, alongside a full timetable for Mrs Hirst delivering piano to a number of pupils.  Learning an instrument is a dedication, it can develop concentration and resilience skills and teaches skills such as listening and working together with others.  It is great that so many pupils are now engaging again with private music tuition in our school.

A reminder to everyone that we will be taking our first Forest Schools trip on Monday morning.  Please ensure your child comes prepared in their own clothes, with waterproofs and sturdy footwear.  They will also need a packed lunch, unless you have already ordered one from school.  We are looking forward to continuing our adventures to the woods and developing creative and life skills for the future.

I am very much looking forward to seeing many of you later at the BBQ.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the weather!

Best wishes,

Mrs Battersby
