Headteacher Friday Update 15th October 2021

Date: 15th Oct 2021 @ 9:03am

It’s been quite a week in school this week!  Unfortunately, we’ve had a good deal of staff absence, not COVID related, but the team have been pulling together to ensure that the children are taught and cared for.  The children have managed brilliantly with any changes to their usual staff and we are very blessed to have such a proactive and flexible team working around them.

It is due to this and the weather that we have postponed our Forest Schools visits until further notice.  Needless to say, we have to ensure the safety of all pupils on these visits and this requires a high staff/pupil ratio.  We will reinstate once we are able and the weather permits.

The children have been busy preparing for the Harvest Celebration in church next Thursday at 09:30am.  All are welcome and mask wearing/distancing will be in place please!  We are asking for a dried donation of one item per child ie: a tin of beans, bag of rice for the Food Bank if possible please.

Well done to all our Class 3 footballers who came 2nd at the cluster event on Wednesday.  They were a credit to our school and played in a sporting style with great reports from the accompanying adults regarding behaviour and attitudes towards the other players.  Thank you for representing our school so well.

Just so you are aware, I have had notification of a road closure on Aynsome Road  on 28th October (during half term) for resurfacing work, which is in desperate need!

Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
