Headteacher Friday Update 15th November 2019

Date: 15th Nov 2019 @ 10:40am

We have enjoyed some charity fundraising this week in aid of 'Children in Need'.  The children enjoyed coming to school in non-uniform and our cake bake sale raised £106.50.  Thank you to everyone for their contributions to this worthy cause.  I hope you enjoy the festivities tonight on TV if you will be watching...I most certainly will, with my Pudsey ears on! It never ceases to amaze me how much we raise as a country for those who need it most.

Our Poppy Appeal also raised £55.60.  We held the two minute silence during our worship on Monday and watched live footage of the service in London.

Our 'Sharing Memories Lunch' was attended by our new 'Champions of Change' Team.  Members of the local community also attended, eating and conversing with the children.  It was a super event and numerous people commented on how polite and engaging the children were.  Mrs Bowden, Miss Lace and Mrs Milner also joined the children and I at the lunch.

As I write, Class 3 are at Kendal Mountain Film Festival for a packed programme of speakers.  As in previous years, it promises to be an interesting and informative event.

With best wishes for a lovely weekend.
