Headteacher Friday Update 12th March 2021
Date: 12th Mar 2021 @ 11:02am
What a super week and so great to have everyone back in school. The children are settling back in very well and have been delighted to see their friends once again. It has been wonderful to see all the creative things they have been doing in classes and the play and interaction of our younger pupils. Thank you to all those who have brought in their artwork for our exhibition ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow.’ If your child hasn’t already brought this in, please ensure that it is with us by Tuesday next week, as it would be great to have every child represented.
Thank you to you all for your patience on collection. We appreciate it’s been somewhat tricky with the weather, changing for PE and children forgetting things to bring home, whilst maintaining social distancing. You will have gathered that we are trying to dismiss children in order of the queue to alleviate people crossing in close proximity on the pavement. To this end from next week, once your child has left the building they must not return back in. Teachers are encouraging and reminding children to collect all items at the end of the day. This will hopefully quicken the process as when children come back in, the queue is then held up. If your child has forgotten something vital, you will need to wait across in the playground until the queue has dispersed please. It’s sometimes been tricky to recognise people hidden behind face coverings and under hoods or behind the school sign (!), so do please continue to bear with us. We are doing our very best and we really appreciate your support at this busy time.
The children will all have come home with a reading book from our library this week. Please ensure these are returned on the following days each week, as your child will only be able to get a new book if the old one is returned on the correct day. We are having a library time slot in the hall, where your child will choose their own book.
Class 2 – Mondays

Wishing you all a lovely weekend and Happy Mother’s Day.
