Dear Children and Parents,

This week the classes marked Armistice Day with a special assembly, including a 2 minute silence. They also watched a Cbeebies animation that sees war as experienced by animals in a WWI battlefield, giving them an opportunity to reflect on the impact of war. You can watch it here https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b04p4zsl/poppies Thank you to Class 3 who created their own fantastic fabric poppies - £59  was raised selling them at home-time. Thanks to everyone who supported us by buying one.

The Children of Hope Shoeboxes have been collected this morning – 17 boxes have been generously donated and are now starting their long journey overseas. It’s humbling to think that these simple boxes of essentials and gifts could be the only thing some children will get this coming Christmas – thank you again.

Today of course is Children in Need Day, it’s lovely to see the children enjoying wearing their Pudsey Bear and spotty clothes. The Duck Race was a great success – thank you to everyone who bought a duck – in total we’ve raised £130 so far.

Have a lovely weekend eveyone.

Mr Nicol
