Governor Update

As both a parent and governor it has been lovely to watch the new arrivals in Reception settle in at the school over the first few weeks of the Autumn term—and equally nice to see the older children take such good care of them. One of the many advantages of a small school like ours is that all the children become friends, regardless of which class they are in, and are inclined to look out for one another.
I’ve also enjoyed the school’s drop-in classroom visits this week, and the chance to see children’s books and hear more about their routines and topics. As all parents know it can sometimes be hard to learn much about our children’s days once they are home from school, so this was a welcome glimpse! And it’s been a pleasure to hear about all the children’s achievements at the first Friday afternoon celebration assemblies of the term; if you can spare the time, do come along in future weeks.
