Friday Headteacher Update 3rd May 2019

Mrs Slater called in this week with our finished school banner.  I am sure you will agree that it looks fantastic.  The project was started last year and all the children in school had the opportunity to design the banner.  The Ethos Group then selected elements from the designs to create the final piece.  Many children in school then produced leaves for the tree with parents and carers at home.  Mrs Slater worked with children in Classes 2 and 3 to select the materials from a collection donated to school and to sew the sections together.  My grateful thanks to the PCC at The Priory for supporting this project financially.  I am in the process of commissioning a carrying pole for the banner.  We will then use it for the Year 6 Leavers' Service each year, as well as at other school events.  I am considering where we may have the banner on permanent display in school, as it seems a great shame not to have it on display throughout the year.
