Forest Schools

What an amazing day having fun at Forest School. It was a lovely sunny day although we still got the campfire lit and enjoyed toasting marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate. The children worked in groups to build a 'mini house' using the basic den design. They then took on the role as 'estate agents' and explained to the class why we should buy their house.  After lunch by the river and much fun hugging trees, the children learnt how to use a square lash to build mini rafts and used the tools to whittle and cut wood. After some time chilling in the hammocks, the finale was a mini raft race before it was sadly time to go back to school for home time - happy, tired and with the smell of campfire smoke in the air.
