Cartmel in Bloom: Sunflower Competition 🌻

David, Leslie and Philip came from the Cartmel in Bloom society to talk to us about looking after our village and to present some awards. David told us about a challenge they’re working towards: to make Cartmel a plastic-free village.

David was really impressed by the diaries he received as entries to the sunflower competition. He said that all 17 entries were winners! Everyone who entered got a pack of wildflower seeds.

Blaine, Isaac, Brooke, Catrina, Harry and Sophie each got a voucher for their super diaries. 

They also presented school with some wonderful resources to help our school get growing over the next year. We can’t wait to use our new brushes, wheel barrows, watering cans, trowels and forks (and much more!)
