Baking Club

This week at baking club our children have been making scones. Working in pairs they learnt how to rub in the flour and butter to make fine crumbs then added sugar and milk to make a dough. The children waited patiently for their scones to bake and made a super job of tidying their work stations. Once cooked and cooled the children took their batch of scones home to enjoy and share with their families and friends.
Why not have a go at home - You will need :
350g self-raising flour
1/4 tsp salt
1tsp baking powder
85g butter, cut into cubes
3 tbsp caster sugar
175ml milk
beaten egg to glaze
jam and clotted cream, to serve
Next week we will be making gingerbread men.
