Artisan Bread Making

The children have been busy learning the art of bread making at our After School Club. Local chef Cam taught us the skills needed to make Focaccia and bread rolls.
We learnt that Focaccia bread originates from Italy and is a flat, dimpled yeast bread that resembles pizza dough. We added garlic oil and rosemary to our bread to give it extra flavour.
The children kneaded the dough, learnt about the importance of proving, created platted dough, bread rolls and baguettes. Some rolls were iced and decorated before being devoured.
We took our bread home to share with our friends and family.
