A journey through Cartmel Village - Class 1
Date: 28th Mar 2019 @ 8:17pm
Class 1 enjoyed a walk through our beautiful village of Cartmel. During our journey we were looking at different types of houses, shops and our places of worship. The children learnt about the history of Cartmel and on our journey we passed Cartmel Priory, L'Enclume, Cartmel's famous Sticky Toffee Pudding shop and we even found the old prison house.
Following their maps as we travelled through the village, our children enjoyed visiting and spending some quiet time in Cartmel Methodist Church, passing through Unsworth's Yard, visiting the centre to complete a tally chart and learning about the Fish Slabs which were originally used by the fisherman, who many years ago would bring their catch here from the bay to be sold.
We finished our walk with a well deserved trip to Cartmel Park. Thank you to our helpers Mr & Mrs Milner and Mrs Hilton for your continued support which allows our class to experience and learn in our beautiful surroundings.
