Forest Schools ?

As the weather is so lovely and spring is really underway, we have decided to take the whole school up to Cartmel Woods for a morning of Forest School. For those children who have not yet been to our Forest School, the morning starts with us walking as a whole school up to the woods where we have a special Forest Schools site. Here the children will be encouraged to enjoy the wildlife, build dens, have a drink of hot chocolate and possibly cook a marshmallow on the camp fire. We also have some hammocks that we can put up between the trees for the children to relax in. We will all be back to school for normal lunch arrangements. Please ensure your child is dressed in outdoor, appropriate clothes and have substantial and sturdy footwear such as walking boots, trainers or wellies. The children will not have to change back into school uniform for the afternoon however please ensure they have a change of footwear in case their forest school footwear is muddy.
