Sharing memories lunch.

Date: 26th Mar 2019 @ 5:22pm

Again a group of children from across the classes were invited today to Cartmel Priory for an excellent 'Sharing memories ' lunch with members of the local community. It was a huge success with excellent manners by all the children as they ate lovely tomato soup, a range of different sandwiches, fresh fruit salad and tea or coffee if they wished. Rev Devenish welcomed us and talked briefly to the children about the meaning of Lent and how the lunch today represented the idea of fasting during this period in the church calendar. Having the chance of 'seconds' of soup we certainly enjoyed the meal, listened to people's memories and valued the time to talk together. We look forward to other lunches in the future when different children can share this experience with the local community.
