Rachel Battersby - Headteacher/Staff Governor

As Headteacher for Cartmel CE Primary School, I also sit on the Full Governing Body.  I attend all FGB committee meetings, as well as those for ‘Resources’ and ‘Teaching and Learning’.  I have overarching responsibility for Safeguarding in school as the Designated Safeguarding Lead.  I am also the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo), taking care of our children with additional needs.  I lead Religious Education and Worship in school, as well as Music.  I also meet regularly with the Assessment Governor to discuss data throughout the school and with the Health and Safety Governor to consider school buildings and improvements to the fabric of our school.
