Headteacher Friday Update 5th July 2019

This week we have welcomed Cumbrian author and poet Katie Hale to Class 3 to do some poetry writing.  The results are fabulous and all enjoyed the workshop.  Some of the Class 1 children visited Sedbergh School for the Durham v Lancashire cricket match, joining in the guard of honour.  It was a very special occasion, particularly as the children participated in a game themselves.  Classes 2 and 3 had great fun at Forest Schools.  They enjoyed honing their teamwork and creative skills.

Next week will see Class 1 visiting Leighton Moss and the Year 6s enjoying their special residential to York.  It is certainly all-go on the experiences front at Cartmel at the moment!
