Headteacher Friday Update 5th February 2021

Date: 5th Feb 2021 @ 1:36pm

Dear Parents/Carers,

As we approach the half term break in a just over a week, I have been reflecting with the staff on another unusual half term for everyone.  We have been so impressed with the children's contributions on Zoom meetings and all their work and sharing on Seesaw.  Thank you to you all for supporting the children at home and also for supporting us in school.

We are aware that some children have work on Seesaw which has not been completed.  This is totally understandable and families have been doing what they can in this very difficult time.  So, we thought that next week we would encourage time away from the screens in the afternoon and we will post some challenges for classes 2 and 3.  Class 1 naturally do lots of hands on, practical activities, so online learning will continue as it is.  If you feel that you would like to catch up on some of the previously posted broader curriculum activities, please use afternoons next week to do so.  Other subjects such as Art, RE, PSHE, Geography, History etc. all offer valuable learning opportunities, many away from screen time and will help your child develop in a variety of ways.

Please do continue to submit photos, videos, voice messages about your child's achievements via Seesaw and feel free to dip into work not previous tackled on the lead up to the half term holiday.

Please keep safe and well.

Best wishes,

Mrs Battersby
