Headteacher Friday Update 24th January 2020

It's been another busy week in the Cartmel calendar.  Some class 3 children participated in the primary district cross country and tackled the course well, whilst our Year 1 children enjoyed a multi skills session at Cartmel Priory School mid-week.

We've had a good deal of staff training this week also, with sessions on Statutory Assessment, Developing Pupil Voice, Artsmark and Safeguarding.  It certainly all happens at once!

As I type, the children are enjoying their Lego workshop in the hall.  The buzz is palpable!  The cross-curricular Science and Design & Technology skills, alongside the listening and teamwork being demonstrated, all goes a long way to support our Artsmark journey and curriculum development.  The results are fantastic and I am sure photos will follow!

I do hope all those attending the church-led party this evening have a fantastic time!  My grateful thanks to our church community for organising this now annual event.  The entertainment has always been super and it is very generous of church to fund this for the children.
