Headteacher Friday Update 13th June 2019

Date: 13th Jun 2019 @ 4:45pm

I write in advance of the Year 6 trip to Carlisle Cathedral tomorrow to the Diocesan Leavers' Service, combined with a workshop in Tullie House.  It will be the very first outing for the new school banner and I look forward to seeing all the hard work process down the aisle of the Cathedral, as well as celebrating the coming end of their primary school journey with our Year 6 children.

We have welcomed a number of visitors to school over the week.  Penny Hollander from the Diocese came to join worship on Monday.  She considered it "very vibrant and inclusive" with "plenty of opportunity for reflection."  She described the children as "confident and well engaged with every aspect of worship" and said "It was a joy to be part of the worship."  We have also enjoyed meeting new visitors from both Poland and Germany.

Our tennis stars in Class 2 have once again done us proud in their achievments.  They travelled to the next round of the competition in Kirkby Lonsdale, playing so well they came 2nd.  They will now venture North to Carlisle for a further round!  Huge congratulations!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
