Class 1 Homework Challenges 23.11.18

Date: 23rd Nov 2018 @ 4:31pm

Thank you for everyone who managed to see us at parents evening. If you still need an appointment please get in touch.

Maths - this week children have been doing position and direction work. They have been using positional language (forwards, backwards, behind, above, left, right) to guide a partner and follow a route. They might lke to have a go at drawing a map and maing up some directions to find some hidden treasure using their positional and directional language.

English - please keep up the great sight word work! If children are sounding out words which are common in their books (was. Kipper, children etc) write them out on pieces of paper and do simple activities to support them to recognise these words by sight.

Topic - this week children have been thinking about the migration of humpback whales. They watched a short documentary about feeding and some children looked at the world maps and the 7 continents. They might like to tell you about the facts they have learnt.
